Photos from 2011

Silkstone Debut Barbie 2011

I've recovered an old archive of my photos. I'm going to publish them again, at least the ones I'm most proud of, because they got deleted from the internet a while ago.

Odzyskałam archiwum moich zdjęć. Zamierzam opublikować je po raz drugi, a przynajmniej te, z których jestem najbardziej dumna, bo jakiś czas temu wyparowały z internetu.

...and goodbye (Adventurer's Club: True Love?)

February came and went, don't know when, somewhere amids my PhD exams (I'm halfway there!), dogtherapy course, animal welfare course and so much more... Today me & my beautiful pug debuted as dog therapists. :)
I haven't forgotten about dolls but the week doesn't get any longer just because I'd like it to. And it's going to be like this for at least two more months.

Adventurer's Club: True Love?
I absolutely loved the ambiguity introduced by the question mark in Adventurers Club topic for February. And that broken heart graphics!

Luty przyszedł i odszedł, nie wiem nawet kiedy, gdzieś pośród moich egzaminów doktorskich (jestem w pół drogi!), kursu dogoterapii, kursu nt. dobrostanu zwierząt i wielu innych rzeczy... Dzisiaj ja i moja piękna mopsiczka zadebiutowałyśmy jako dogoterapeutki. :)

I ten rysunek złamanego serca!
In my interpretation of the topic I didn't decide whether the love was true or not. I guess my redhead ballerina is thinking about it right now. Real or not, it left her with another manifestation of love, maybe the real one at last.

First snow

LOTR - Galadriel

This year I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the first snow, but it reminded me of some photos I'd taken couple of years ago.

Crochet scraps

I'm continuing my project to use up all yarn scraps. Yeah, I know its futile, but I'll try anyway. :)

First, I made a bluish mini dress for Pretty in Plaid AA Barbie. Wow, that doll was hard to get! She must've gone a long way before she fell into my sis' hands and finally - into mine (Thanks sis!), cause her head is glued on. Anyway, she's still as pretty as she should be. She is also very difficult to photograph: when I finally managed to work with her overall stiffness and hair picking up static or lighting problems, there always was a stray speck of dust on her face.

Then, there was a patchy tunic for Birthstone Beauty. I guess it could use some leggins...
Again, it probably wasn't my day for photographing. That's what happens when you want to document something fast. ;)

No tunic here, but the portray is nice enough to share. :)
And finally, a greenish dress. I'm quite happy with the corset. It cost me lots of unraveling and making again, but then the skirt was quick to make.

It feels so cool to turn those scraps I was about to throw away into something, lets say, applicable. :)

Favourite dolls: Ballerina Barbie 2010

Maybe someone lucky out there enjoyed a nice weekend. As for me, it was another two days at the Uni and all I could do was just to recall one sweet, lazy morning from nearly a year ago. Wow, that memory will have to suffice for long. -_-'

I've spent it taking photos of one of my favourite dolls - a redhead Ballerina Barbie from 2010.

That's how she looked freshly out of the box.

I found her on sales and something made me take her home, though I hate moulded clothes and shoes and glittery make up. However, there is something about her face that makes her one of my absolute favourites.

That morning she received a fashionistas body, which made me love her even more.

Free from the purple body at last!

No matter what she does, she does it in style. :)

Quiet morning was interrupted by agitated FF Barbie. "I've got a date really soon and I'm not ready!"
"Calm down, I'll help you"

"Let's find some clothes for you. Long or short, sweet or hot, maybe something retro or a swimming suit?"

Make up!

Last touch.
And she left...
Leaving us with all that mess!
