...to the present!

This is the current state of My Scene collection. I feel quite satisfied with it and I'm not planning to add anything more.
22 girls and 4 boys altogether.

Oh, and by the way, I made some changes in the living room:

Disney Store's 2012 Snow White

I'm in love with the 2011 version of Disney Store's Snow White (still need to get her), but the 2012 is even prettier!
Fully poseable body, hinged knees and ankles, bendy wrists.
Sweetest face ever!

Candlelight

Zoe - Iplehouse JID Asa
That's Zoe's fourth makeup so far, the one I've done after ruining the third one (stupid me - I put on a damp wig on unsealed head) and thinking I have nothing to lose. Well, it was an experiment, it's not my style.

...through the years...

By the time I switched to a digital cam, my My Scene family'd grown a bit.
2005
2005 - My latest catch then, a Ride in the Park Nolee, didn't feel like joining everybody in the family shoot yet.
2006 - My Scene's shelf
2007 - not many changes
My fave Chelsea
The couple still together in 2007

From the Past...

Long time ago, in the early 2000's, I started taking photos of dolls. My camera was an analog Russian Zenit my father'd bought when I was born and gave to me when I turned 18. The dolls were my favourites of that time - My Scene Spring Break Madison/Westley and Chelsea and Back to School Bryant.

Something else

When I'm not playing with dolls, I spend time on other fun activities! ;P

Lagoona's holiday memories

Sand, sun and water, who'd need more..? ;P Well, poor Lagoona had her holiday, now I'm having a break from dolls and I haven't even released her from her traveling case.

Love of the last days of summer

All evening yesterday a melody had been haunting me, but I couldn't recall what was the song. I finally found it. It is the cover of Jason Donovan's "Sealed with a kiss" with polish lyrics sung by Renata Dąbkowska.

While looking for the song, I've been thinking about a photo session I took about three years ago. The song's lyrics, roughly translating, is about love that came with the last days of summer and faded with the first frost. The photo session was also about a summer flirt that didn't last for long.

Tarina was my newest doll then. She seemed quite lonely. Although flirting comes to her as easily as breathing, she is a sweet and fragile girl inside. While other dolls were having a picnic, she and Fashionistas Ken took a stroll...

Project: Lena

Once upon a time, in the mythical times when I was young, I had fewer dolls and among them there was a hollow-body, cheap mermaid. I called her Lena. As I grew up, I turned to better quality dolls, but kept this one, like a good memory. Some time ago I've noticed that Lena was starting to fall apart, her head got all greasy and her hair - oxidized and brittle. So I launched a project to make a new, better Lena, one to last.

More princesses!

Disney Store's 2012 Princess Tiana
At first I didn't want Tiana, but when I saw this version with closed mouth, I changed my mind.

There are rats in my new couch!

Ikea "Huset" dollhouse furniture set infested with rodents.
I guess that's what people call a bargain - I'd adopted a little rattie girl and a couple of days later she's given birth to a surprise litter. Today is their day 10 and although they can't see yet, they're quite active.

This is the time when they get used to handling. In a couple of days they will open eyes and start to explore even more.

Vago chair.

Their mommy is called Sardines. I got the idea from Terry Pratchett's "The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents". So, the litter is also called Sardines or Shrimps.

Fascinating palette on Expedit shelving unit.

No rat was hurt during this session. I had everything ready and completed the whole shoot in less than 10 minutes, while the litter's mommy was having hard boiled egg nearby.

Lottie

The above is rather self explanatory, why I love Charlotte. The greates disappointment of my last visit in UK was that I didn't buy her. My friend said that she wasn't buying her for me because "she's so pink all over, she's freakin' me out". Yup, she's freaky and pink and completely insane. :)

Charlotte on a frog hunt

I could easily get the Mattel's Charlotte, but that wasn't it, she is just too pretty and... well, normal. And I finally got the Disney Store's version! This is the first edition with rubber "clicking" legs and squint. Perfect!
