Happy Disney Month! Also: Need help on how to play dolls with a toddler and remain sane

Ms. Leo reminded me, that May is a Disney Month! No wonder May is my favourite month.
This is my lastes addition to the Disney Animators' collection. Up till recently I bought these dolls only NRFB, but this one is an exception, because it belonged to my friend, who made a great effort to customize the dress. I especially like the jewelery. Take a look!

Oto mój najnowszy nabytek do kolekcji Disney Animators'. Do niedawna kupowałam te lalki wyłącznie nowe, w pudełku, ale ta jest wyjątkiem, ponieważ należała do mojej koleżanki, która włożyła dużo wysiłku w podrasowanie sukienki.Szczególnie podoba mi się biżuteria. Spójrzcie!
 

Disney Animators' Pocahontas - dress customized by Sylwia

Here arises a new tiny challenge in my life. My daughter started asking for the dolls she's been seeing in the house all her life. Most of my Barbies are put away. The handful of them that are on the wiev are a matter of negotiation - I try to teach my daughter, that these are mommie's dolls, not for play. I gave her a few of her own. Then, I decided we can play Disney toddlers together - these seem sturdy enough. This seems to work for now. What are your methods?

Tutaj pojawia się nowe, maleńkie wyzwanie w moim życiu. Moja córka zaczęła prosić o lalki, które widzi w domu całe życie. Większość moich Barbie jest schowanych. Garstka tych na widoku, podlega negocjacjom - staram się nauczyć młodą, że to są lalki mamy, nie do zabawy. Dałam jej kilka na własność. Zdecydowałam też, że maluchami Disneya możemy się bawić razem - wyglądają na wystarczająco odporne. Na razie to podejście wydaje się działać. Jakie macie swoje sposoby?

My obsessive trait sent me on a mission to find as many matches for the M2M bodies I can. I'm about 2/3 through with the nostalgic skin tone. Three more bodies waiting. Yay!
As you can see, it resulted in a new tab above. Help or comments appreciated. :)

Moja obsesyjna osobowość wysłała mnie na poszukiwanie jak największej liczby łebków pasujących do ciałek M2M. Uporałam się z ok. 2/3 w odcieniu nostalgic. Trzy kolejne ciałka czekają na dopasowanie. Jej! 
Jak widzicie, skutkowało to powstaniem nowej zakładki u góry. Wsparcie i komentarze mile widziane. :)

 Swimming pool seems to be the only reasonable place to be under the current weather. Therefore, I quickly had to finish a swimsuit for Jane.

Basen wydaje się być jedynym miejscem, w którym da się przetrwać obecną pogodę. Z tej okazji szybciutko wykończyłam kostium dla Jane.

Favourite photo of 2014

To summarize 2014 somebody on DollsForum started a thread about photos we're most fond of. It's not a competition, just an occasion to reninisce. It was quite difficult to choose, but on the other hand, it was very nice to look through all the photos I'd taken last year. I've narrowed down to three.

 W ramach podsumowania 2014 ktoś na DollsForum zaczął wątek o zdjęciach, które najbardziej lubimy. To nie konkurs, tylko okazja do powspominania. Było mi dość trudno wybrać, a z drugiej strony, bardzo fajnie przejrzeć wszystkie zdjęcia, jakie zrobiłam w zeszłym roku. Udało mi się zawęzić do trzech.

Wyobraź sobie, że leżysz w trawie i śledzisz chmury przepływające po niebie. Powietrze jest gorące i aromatyczne. Słyszysz świerszcze? Tym jest to zdjęcie dla mnie.

My niece dreamed of a dedicated fashion for the MH Cleo she'd got on Christmas. I couldn't find any, so I created this.

Back of the box. I should've shown it from the side too, because I made it more flat than the doll's box.

If you're wandering what happened to Cleo... well, I've got a new monster. :)

That's Zoe's fourth makeup so far, the one I've done after ruining the third one (stupid me - I put on a damp wig on unsealed head) and thinking I have nothing to lose. Well, it was an experiment, it's not my style.

Project: Lena

Once upon a time, in the mythical times when I was young, I had fewer dolls and among them there was a hollow-body, cheap mermaid. I called her Lena. As I grew up, I turned to better quality dolls, but kept this one, like a good memory. Some time ago I've noticed that Lena was starting to fall apart, her head got all greasy and her hair - oxidized and brittle. So I launched a project to make a new, better Lena, one to last.

I will name her Ζωη, that is Zoé or Zoja, which means life. This is her first faceup. I'm not going to keep it, just wanted to document it. I had lots of fun painting her and it turned out better than I expected. Actually, I didn't think that my first make up attempt will be publishable at all.

This is the last dress I made for Lagoona last summer. It exhausted my crocheting powers. ;)
I've been waiting to show it until Lagoona got her fins back. Thanks to a dear person Lagoona's complete once again. Thank you, K.!

Bought a nude Mona Lisa Barbie, made a dress, boxed!

White lace is just to keep the doll in the box, not a part of the dress.

I'm quite proud. It was really difficult to part with this beautiful doll.

Not so long ago I've had a very bad time in my life, almost every aspect of it was falling apart. As you can imagine, I was really depressed and my worries were driving me crazy. One morning I had a strange dream and when I woke up, I knew what I had to do. I worked like crazy and when I finished late in the afternoon, I felt free.
All my anger, frustration and despair was enclosed in this doll. Don't look her in the eyes - it's still there!

I am aware, that this doll may be controversial to some people. Sorry, it helped me, so it was worth it. My problems haven't resolved, but they don't bother me that much any more.
