Disney shelf, part 2.

Disney dolls - second part of the shelf || Lalki Disneya - druga część półki
Not as neat as the other part of the shelf. Also, contains a curious number of shirtless men.

Nie tak poukładane, jak w drugiej części półki. A także, zawiera zastanawiającą ilość facetów bez koszuli.

Disney's Style Series Mulan or Lashes from Hell

I'm a big fan of Mulan and I already have a good dozen of her dolly depictions. However, I'm not very fond of Hasbro's Disney dolls, they seem too childish and far from their animated originals. I'm slightly tempted with the Wreck It Ralph's modern twist on the princesses, but they are slightly too expensive at the moment.
In the meantime, I got myself the Disney Style Series Mulan by Hasbro at a real bargain.

Jestem wielką miłośniczką Mulan i mam przynajmniej kilkanaście jej lalkowych wersji.

Disney Animators' Collection Tiana

I've been planning to publish this post earlier, but May somehow slipped past me, almost unnoticably. Better late than never, cause I've taken these photos... in 2017.

Miałam zamiar opublikować ten post wcześniej, ale maj przemknął mi jakoś, niemal niezauważalnie. Lepiej późno niż wcale, bo zdjęcia zrobiłam... w 2017.

Disney Descendants Lonnie aka The Least Photogenic Doll of Summer

Disney Descendants Lonnie signature doll
Lonnie was the first Disney Descendants doll I bought. How could I not, when Mulan is my absolutely favourite Disney Princess. I like almost everything about the doll - the fashion is great, shoes and oher accessories are amazingly detailed, the articulation is fine. My only complaints are the quality of hair and that Lonnie is the least photogenic doll of this summer, maybe even worse. I simply can't take a decent photo of her. And she is a lovely doll in person.

Review: Disney Animators' Collection Rapunzel Gift Set

Disney Animators' Collection Rapunzel Gift Set
I wanted this version of the Disney Animators' Collection Rapunzel, because my poor DAC dolls suffer from a severe shortage of clothes and she has two. I was also counting on two pairs of shoes, but no luck.

Chciałam tę wersję Roszpunki z Disney Animators' Collection, bo moje biedne lalki z DAC cierpią na ciężki niedobór ubrań, a ona ma aż dwa. Liczyłam też na dwie pary butów, ale bez powodzenia.

He mele no Lilo

The Doll of the Day
The doll I want to present today was one of the side aims of my visit in UK. No, not the one above... ;)

Lalka, którą chcę dzisiaj przedstawić, była jednym z moich pobocznych celów wizyty w UK. Nie, nie chodzi o tę powyżej... ;)

Disney Store's 2012 Snow White

I'm in love with the 2011 version of Disney Store's Snow White (still need to get her), but the 2012 is even prettier!
Fully poseable body, hinged knees and ankles, bendy wrists.
Sweetest face ever!

More princesses!

Disney Store's 2012 Princess Tiana
At first I didn't want Tiana, but when I saw this version with closed mouth, I changed my mind.

Lottie

The above is rather self explanatory, why I love Charlotte. The greates disappointment of my last visit in UK was that I didn't buy her. My friend said that she wasn't buying her for me because "she's so pink all over, she's freakin' me out". Yup, she's freaky and pink and completely insane. :)

I could easily get the Mattel's Charlotte, but that wasn't it, she is just too pretty and... well, normal. And I finally got the Disney Store's version! This is the first edition with rubber "clicking" legs and squint. Perfect!

Disney Store's 2012 Glitter Princess Rapunzel

Once upon a time in a high tower in the middle of a forest...

...Rapunzel was waiting for her savior...

...so she could rejoice...

...and dance all day...

...but for now...

...she could only patiently wait to hear
 'Rapunzel, Rapunzel,
Let down your hair to me.'

Disney Store Merida

Disney Store's Merida

While visiting my friend in the UK I had a chance to drop by a Disney Store. I loved almost everything they had! I've been sighing for a Animators' Collection Mulan for a while, but I've been traveling with hand luggage only and I couldn't buy such a big doll. I wanted a 2011 11'' Snow White and Rapunzel, but they had only the 2012 versions. However, they had Li Shang (2011 and 2012, newer version has bigger head and different box), a lovely new version of Ariel, fantastic Lottie and Merida, all also on my wish list. I couldn't make my mind!

Finally I chose Merida, because she is an awesome doll, and Shang, because he's been on the wish list for the longest time. But just wait till I get there again!

It was quite difficult to find a flawless Merida. Most had wonky eyes, which isn't that bad and adds some character, or just different paint style, smaller or bigger pupils, etc. Mine has some freckles migrated from her cheek to the forehead, but the nicest eyes I've seen on Merida.
Disney Store's Merida looks slightly crazy and that's what I love about her most!

Nicely made details: bow, arrow and quiver.
I haven't undressed her yet, which is quite unlike me, but she has the new fully bendable body. The dress is well made. The archer's sleeve is removable and reveals a normal dress sleeve.

Really funny shoes :)
DS Merida depicts the dynamics of the animation really well, especially her flowing hair. I don't know why, but she is currently one of my favourite dolls.

I've just noticed, this is my 50th post! Should I make a giveaway when I get to the 100th?

Disney's dolls

I went through my second shelf today, the one with Disney/fairytale dolls. Their number's been slightly reduced in the last months. I decided to keep only the dolls I really like.
I put away most of Princesses made by Simba cause they started... decomposing. They're not old, most of them was produced less than 6 years ago, but their bodies turned yellow and some makeups faded. The same thing happened to the girls I kept in boxes, so it's not the fault of UV or dust. Anyway, it made me really angry. I kept only Simba's Aladdin and Jasmin, Mulan and two Ariels. I guess the problem concerns only the dolls from the first and second edition. Unless more yellowing is ahead of me, on the newer dolls.
I also got rid of Milo form Atlantis, Megara from Hercules, Anakin from Star Wars, Kayley and Garrett from The Magic Sword. These are nice, original and well made dolls, but I didn't relate to them. Actually, I have problems remembering what I got rid of, so I probably don't miss them too much. The shelf is dominated by Mulans now - 7 of them - and still pretty crowdy. :)

My absolute favourite - Dowager Empress from Anastasia. She moved from the shelf for a while cause I'm making her a new, more appropriate dress.
Two Pocahontas dolls salvaged from the shelf population reduction.

Many faces of Fiona.

Simba's Mulan - rather interesting than pretty.

My gorgeous Belle.
