Into the closet

My poor dolls have to make room for baby stuff. Most of them will have to go into some boxes or into the closet. I started by moving my Tonner gals and managed to snap a few photos, so I remember them when thay are not on display.

Moje biedne lalki muszą ustąpić miejsca dziecięcej wyprawce. Większość będzie musiała iść do pudełek i szafy.

Intimate with the dolls

Imagine a scene: I'm in a bed, the light is dim, there's lots of dolls around me and some soft music seeps in from the background. Now, add a pile of used tissues and another one of pills, syrups, etc. Yeah, the only good thing about being ill is that you get to spend some time with dolls. ;)

A lady in the forest of memories

Tonner's Lady of the Court Deja Vu doll
During my morning walk withe the dog, I've noticed that forget-me-nots are blooming. I came back running with a doll and the camera.

Podczas porannego spaceru z psem zauważyłam, że zakwitły niezapominajki. Wróciłam biegiem z lalką i aparatem.

Farewell, Tyler!

With the new Deja Vu girl it got quite crowdy on my big girls' shelf. The decision was quick - sale! Right away I took some photos of the least loved ladies. You can say how unloved they were, since they didn't even have decent photos and I've had them for at least three years! Surprisingly, they were sold before I even posted them here.
Goodbye, two Tylers, bring joy to your new owners!

French mission

Tonner Deja Vu Emma Jean McGowen
I've taken the above photo this afternoon for the Adventurer's Club. The topic for March was "Secret Mission" and... I got stuck. For a whole month I could not think up anything for the theme. A few days ago I received one of my dream dolls - Tonner's Deja Vu Emma Jean. I had mixed feelings when she arrived, but maybe another time about that. I got inspired by the additional hands set. I wanted to blush them! And today I have. And I thought that an agent on a secret mission has to know how to pick locks, and I could show those hands by the way.

I dzisiaj to zrobiłam.

Favourite photo of 2014

To summarize 2014 somebody on DollsForum started a thread about photos we're most fond of. It's not a competition, just an occasion to reninisce. It was quite difficult to choose, but on the other hand, it was very nice to look through all the photos I'd taken last year. I've narrowed down to three.

Third place: |  Trzecie miejsce:
Imagine you lay down in the grass and follow the clouds sailing the sky. The air is hot and fragrant. Can you hear the crickets? That's what this photo is to me.

Pamela or Siso

A couple of years ago I got from my friend her childhood dolls. Among them was a little gem - 17 cm (about 6.5 inch) ballerina doll. She might be a Siso or one of the first Pamela dolls by Simba from early 80' as these were indistinguishable except for the box.

Anyway, these dolls were my favourite companions when I was a child and almost all of them, except for one, survived to the present times. They were small, versatile and subtle, had bendable joints perfect for climbing trees and having adventures, while Barbie was having another boring tea party. And they still are among my favourite dolls.
The one I got from my friend was in fairly good condition, only her hair was a mess. It is a weak point of these dolls. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos before I got to the reroot. She had little hair rooted only in the parting, so I added a whole line around the scalp. Originally she was ash blonde, but I prefer brunettes (my first Pam was a brunette).

Right after reroot. :)
Sweet and funny face.

Dressing up Carrie

Winter is over and it may be the last sensible moment to post some of the fashions I made for my two Carries. First, a very simple sweater for RTW Carrie.

Something happened to her forehead and I noticed after taking the photos. I had to remove it with sandpaper and there was no time to repeat the shoot. I like the photo anyway, cause this is the only portray in which I was able to catch all the details of her make up.

I love her intense look. I think she is quite unusual.
RTW Carrie was my second Tonner doll and we've had a love-hate relationship since then. But I wouldn't change a detail in her.

Another Carrie is a slightly more recent buy, a dream come true - Kir Royale Carrie. She is wearing a slightly longer wig than the original one.

Yup, I messed the sleeves. -_-'

Cami: Everybody's favourite

Tonner's first blonde Cami is everybody's favourite and it took me over a year to realize that mine also. Well, I'm not good at following trends. But since I regained my sight, she really is one of my favourites: subtle, delicate, nearly transparent. Cinderella's mold is much too sweet for me in most cases, but here it's just fine. And Antoinette's body is absolutely gorgeous.

Her hairdo got messed right away, but she's gorgeous anyway. :)

I found Cami's summer session. It makes me longing for summer... Last year I spent lots of time on my own in the countryside, just me and dolls. Best holidays ever.

Cami's pinecone dress.

I had a lot of time, so I made her a quite laborious "pinecone" dress. Seems like the frills got stuck with me since then.

My favourite photo. It took ages before I got the depth of focus right. :)

Now, we're hibernating till spring.

Big girl

Over time it's becoming more and more rare for me to fall for a doll. Yup, I'm a typical addict, I need more stimulation every time. ;)
Before I saw her, I thought I was immune to all 16'' dolls, I collected strictly 11'' dolls and didn't like to mix scales. But this girl made it straight to my heart. I couldn't sleep because of her. I couldn't wait to see her in person. She was one of my first international buys and definitely the most expensive then. She opened my door for other 16'' beauties in 2007 but she still is my number 1 - Blush'n'Bashful Tyler by Tonner.

In her first (and last) bathing suit.
I don't like pink, but she does, so I had no choice but to make her a dress. :)
